Coulrophobia (n) – an abnormal, irrational fear of clowns.
Coulrophobia’s wiki says the term was likely coined in the internet age and does not appear in printed form in any previously published psychiatric, unabridged, or abridged dictionary. That doesn’t mean the condition doesn’t exist (clearly it does), and it is explained as a specific phobia. Do you have any phobias? Find out by your reaction to these Scary Costumes.
The Video get’s interesting at the 2:40 mark when the woman afflicted with Coulrophobia enters the same room as a clown to confront her fears. It looks like the phsyc students who volunteered to watch the clown’s performance with her can’t seem to keep a straight face when confronted with this woman’s hysterical reaction to Mr. Giggles. The funniest part about this vid is how everyone else in the room is totally calm and this woman is FREAKING OUT at the site of the clown, it makes you wonder who the clown really is. Clown Costumes are always a fun and apparently also frightening choice of costumes, do your worst Mr. Giggles!
